Billy Evans is an award winning cinematographer from Bristol, UK. He graduated from the University of Gloucestershire’s Film Production course in 2022, focusing his time practicing cinematography.
Billy has earned the Camera Work Craft award for his graduate short film ‘Neonate’ at the RTS South West Student Awards 2022. He has also been nominated for Best Cinematography at the Independent Horror Movie Awards (2023), as well as the Midlands Made. Movie Awards (2025) as well as Best VFX in the latter for ‘Ascend.’
Billy has recently shot ‘Ascend’ by Roshan Balu, which is currently screening at Forbidden Worlds in Bristol & the BAFTA Qualifing Flatpack Festival.
His photography has been featured on Kodak’s social media pages, and has come runner up in Analogue Wonderland’s Summer Competition on multiple occasions.
